Bolingbrook Students Qualify for IDEA State Competition

Four Bolingbrook High School students will advance to state competition following outstanding performances at IDEA (Illinois Drafting Educators Association) regionals March 7.

Sebastian Brown and Max Pleasant finished first and second respectively in Intro CAD (Computer-aided design), Kyle Engelmann finished first in Machine CAD and Kokeith Perry finished first in Architecture CAD 3D.

The BHS team tied for first place out of 15 teams at the regional. Among BHS non-state qualifiers, Janet Bahena’s third place finish in Intro CAD was the highest.

The state competition will take place April 12 at Illinois State University.
