Update: Bolingbrook Woman Stabbed Man to Death During Domestic Dispute: Police

Updated at 3:50 p.m. on April 17: Officials confirmed the man allegedly slain by Evans is David Evans.

A Bolingbrook woman allegedly stabbed a man to death during a domestic dispute at her Bloomfield Drive home Thursday night.

Officers sent to the house shortly before 9 p.m. found 50-year-old Michele Evans outside and an unidentified man sprawled on the kitchen floor.

Evans was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. She was booked into the Will County jail Friday afternoon and her bond was set at $1 million.

A Bolingbrook man who was listening to a police scanner and then went to the house to watch the police response said he heard the call to the cops Thursday night. The Bolingbrook man said a woman told the emergency dispatcher the wounded man was “on the kitchen floor and he was snoring.”

The Bolingbrook man went on to say he overheard paramedics “check in” with Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove before taking the wounded man away.

The police would not specify which “local area hospital” paramedics took the man to but did say he died in DuPage County just before 2 a.m.

DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen refused to release any information on the dead man and said that it was up to the Will County State’s Attorney or the Bolingbrook Police Department to do so. Bolingbrook police Lt. Carter Larry said that was actually the coroner’s job and deferred to Jorgensen.

According to Evans’ Facebook page, she is a former employee of Valley View School District and was in the Air Force from 1985 until 1990.

While officials would not identify or release any information on the dead man, a David E. Evans is listed at the Bloomfield Drive address along with Michele Evans. Telephone messages left at the residence were not returned Thursday.
