Bolingbrook's Meadowbrook Reports 184 Coronavirus Cases: IDPH

The Bolingbrook nursing home now has the highest number of cases in the state, with 26 coronavirus-related deaths.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Meadowbrook Manor, a nursing home in Bolingbrook, currently has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Illinois among any other long-term care facility in the state, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

As of Friday, May 15, the facility had 184 reported cases. Meadowbrook is followed by Peterson Park Health Care in Cook County with 166 cases.

The Bolingbrook nursing home also has 26 coronavirus-related deaths — the highest in Will County — surpassing Symphony of Joliet, which a few weeks ago had the most cases and deaths. According to IDPH, the Joliet facility reported a total 130 outbreaks and 25 deaths on Friday.

In Will County, IDPH is reporting there are 691 cases of coronavirus in long-term care facilities and 116 related deaths.

Illinois health officials announced on Monday 2,294 new cases of the coronavirus and 59 additional deaths, bringing the statewide total to 96,485 confirmed cases and 4,234 known deaths.
