Brian Kuntz Named 2012 Bolingbrook Male Citizen of the Year
Kuntz was honored as the 2012 Male Citizen of the Year in a recent Bolingbrook village board meeting.

Brian Kuntz has been named the 2012 male citizen of the year.
Each year, one man, one woman and one family are recognized by the village.
Kuntz is a cancer and heart attack survivor who is heavily involved in Scouting. He was a leader in Cub Scouts for six years and Boy Scouts for five-plus years. Kuntz is a proud Eagle Scout recipient and has coached several different sports.

"Brian Kuntz has been a Bolingbrook resident for 19 years, moving here in 1993. Brian has been married to Tiffany for 24 years. They have a son, Jason, 18, and a daughter, Ashley, 17.
Brian has been active in all levels of scouting. He was a leader in Cub Scouts for six years and Boy Scouts for five-plus years.
Brian is a proud Eagle Scout recipient.
He has chaired the rainbow council Cub Scout Day Camp at Village Hall for three years, chaired Scouting University two years and chaired the Cub Scout winter event for two years.
Brian now chairs Waapi Lenaswa (of Rainbow Council) district campout, which includes Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and their families.
He is the district commissioner for Waapi Lenaswa (of Rainbow Council) for Cub Scout packs and Scout troops in Bolingbrook.
Brian spends at least one weekend per month camping with Scouts, as well as spending a week of his summer with the scouts at summer camp.
Besides scouting, his community involvement includes:
- Coached T-Ball (3+ years) for both his children
- Coached BYBL (7 years)
- Coached Panthers Basketball (2 years)
- Coached BCB (3 years)
For fun, Brian has been a member of a Friday night bowling league for many years.
Brian is a cancer survivor and a heart attack survivor. On a side note -- Brian loves to wash dishes."
