Brooks Middle School Presents Teen Mystery Play

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Drexton Cage calls himself a high school detective. But when a mysterious Southern belle hires him to solve what looks like a simple frame-job, it evolves into a tangled web of intrigue with all sorts of suspects, motives and way too many clues.

That’s the setting for the Brooks Middle School production of “Gumshoe High: A Totally Teen Mystery” on stage in the Bolingbrook school’s auditorium March 2-4. The curtain goes up each night at 7 p.m.

Cast members include Charlie Madura (Drexton Cage), Brenden Wagner (Reginald Willington III), Nate Worlton (Fred Backwards), Luke Taylor (Abner Johnson), Simarjeet Bedi (Sincere Thatcher), Johnathan Simmons (Royalty Hal), Nicholas Jones (Scatters), Kennedy Hernandez (Smilin’ Bob), Amir Bell (Snake), Amanda Crisp (Chapter), Kendra Carrillo (Glossary and Georgia), Cheyenne Gougis (Index and Buster), and Gracie Avery (Betty Ann).

Also: Gracie Trevino (Carmen Hardstone), Madison Chandler (Cloris), Kloe Walters (Electra), Hana Chow (Sylvia), Morgan Dudaryk (Meryl), Meg Bozarth (Patience), Rheya Pigors (Parker Roberts), Taylor Tompkins (Victoria), Marissa Temple (Olivier), Kira Carthans (Maxine), Amber Harold (Giggles Fontaine), Gianna Capp (Sally), Gracie Driggers (Trident) and Kailey Dwyer (Sheila).

Ruth Bardy and Liese Koller are co-directors. Ashley Lapidus is Stage Manager (protege is Josh Selep) with Jacob and Luke Chow serving as Assistant Stage Managers (proteges are Chelsea Crisp and Macey Walker). Allyssa Gulledge and Kylie McGrath are handling House and Publicity. Aliya Llereza and Robyn Abrams are on the sound board, while Jaquelin Cruz and Micaela McFerren are on the spotlight and Mikayla Plant handles the light board. Ethan Jones leads the set crew.

Tickets are $4 in advance or $5 at the door.
