Can We Rope You into the Fountaindale Library Author Fair?

The Fountaindale Library is kicking off National Library Week 2014 on Saturday, April 12, with their annual Author Fair featuring local writers of all genres.

This year's theme is Lives Change @ Your Library and no one knows that better than readers who become writers. Come and chat with authors of children's books, mysteries, histories, ghost stories and more. Teachers, this is a great opportunity to find speakers on topics that fit right into your curriculum. And if you're a writer yourself, here's your chance to talk about craft with like-minded people.

A number of presentations will be held in addition to the Author Fair. From 2:30 until 3:00 in the Children's Storytime Room, families are invited to learn a little bit about DuPage County's earliest pioneers and make a craft that they can take home. Author Kate Gingold will don period costume and share some highlights from her book "Ruth by Lake and Prairie," the story of a twelve-year-old girl who sailed the Great Lakes with Bolingbrook's Captain Harry Boardman to settle along the DuPage River.

The Author Fair runs from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Stop in and change your life @ your library!
