CARES Act info accessible to businesses
Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce website has downloadable forms

Area businesses can now access downloadable pdfs forms relating to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) on the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce’s (BACC) website.

“There was so much information when the orders to shelter started in each state across the country, “ said BACC Executive Director Kevin O’Keeffe. “Once the Illinois order came, it became a deluge of information.”

Working quickly Congress was able to pass the CARES stimulus package by the end of March; just as Illinois restaurants were in their second week of closure and residents were 9 days into the shelter-in-place order.
“CARES was quite dense because it was so all-encompassing,” said O’Keeffe. “We hosted a video conference with Kevin Courtois, manager of Congressional and Public Affairs at the U.S. Chamber’s Great Lakes Regional Office, to walk our business members through it.”

Friday at 9 a.m. the BACC is hosting a video conference with Illinois Chamber of Commerce President Todd Maisch; he will discuss and take questions regarding state aid and funding programs.
The BACC is hosting several developmental video conferences in April, including a step-by-step walkthrough of the SBA’s (Small Business Administration) loan application process (April 13).
