“This is one of the most exciting days of my life,” daughter Olivia Anderson told the Chicago Tribune. “I bet 99 percent of the people here didn’t think they’d be part of a wedding until they saw her dress. I’m just so happy, I’m speechless.”

The entire wedding party was decked out in Blackhawks apparel in one way or another. Both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen had on Blackhawks jerseys. Hansen wore a traditional white dress, but on her feet she showed her pride: Blackhawks-themed shoes. In her hair were feathers.

When the wedding was set to begin, Anderson put the rings in the Stanley Cup and gave his vows.

“As I pull this ring from Lord Stanley’s Cup, the symbol of the greatest trophy of all, may this ring with no beginning or end be touched by the living history of all.”

He placed the ring on Hansen and then she began.

“You are my person — my love and my life. My one goal today and always,” she said before giving a Blackhawks cheer.
