Bolingbrook on April 7As more military veterans enter into Congress and continue their service to their country, one of our local veterans, Thomas M. Gilligan, has begun his journey to serving the Bolingbrook community as the next Park Board Commissioner.

As a leader in the Illinois Army National Guard, Thomas M. Gilligan is very solution-oriented and prepared to provide a new vision for the Bolingbrook Park District. In this position, Thomas M. Gilligan plans to build the Lily Cache Special Recreation Association to provide more programs for individuals with disabilities.

The Bolingbrook Park District currently has the second highest property tax rate in Will County; Thomas M. Gilligan is determined to lower this rate for Bolingbrook’s community members while keeping programming affordable for families.

The growth of park district facilities is not proportionate to the growth of Bolingbrook. Thomas M. Gilligan recognizes the need for adequate space for the types of programs that families need.
