First Lazy River 5K Planned In Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, IL — If you'd rather walk or run in water than on land, then Bolingbrook Park District's first Parkie's Lazy River 5K could be for you.

The race is planned for Aug. 12 in the lazy river at Pelican Harbor's outdoor aquatic park in Bolingbrook.

According to the park district, participants will walk 25 laps with the current of the river. Runners will receive a hat and a lap counter clicker; finishers will receive a medal.

The event is for those 12 and older, and it is $25 per resident and $30 per nonresident.
