Fountaindale Library Offers License Plate Sticker Renewals

You don't have to go to the Secretary of State office; you can renew your license plate sticker at Fountaindale Library.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — If you're looking to renew your license plate sticker, you can do so at the Fountaindale Public Library.

According to the library, you can bring your Illinois vehicle registration renewal notice sent by the Secretary of State, current registration card or VIN, and your current driver's license or ID.

The cost is $151 per sticker, and there is a $7.50 service fee for each sticker, and a 3 percent transaction fee for each sticker if you use a credit card.

The stickers for 2022 can be purchased at the first floor circulation desk, according to the library. The service is available seven days a week, from opening until 30 minutes before the library closes.

Library hours are: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The library can't change the address on your registration; nor can it process a renewal if your vehicle is due for an emissions test or if you don't have a valid driver's license.
