Free Fishing For Father's Day Hosted At Hidden Lakes Trout Farm

From June 16-June 18, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring a free fishing weekend.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Enjoy Father's Day weekend by reeling in a few fish at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm in Bolingbrook.

From June 16-June 18, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring a free fishing weekend. Anglers do not need a fishing license to fish during this weekend.

Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 16, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 17 and June 18, according to the forest preserve.

The preserve said that anglers can grab a free container of night crawlers on June 16; on June 17, anglers can pick up a free promo item and on Sunday, enjoy a free tasty treat – candy, chips or ice cream. Dads who visit the Tackle Box on June 18 will get any of the above-mentioned items.

Fishing poles are also available to rent for free courtesy of IDNR.
