Fun This Fall: Autumn Events At Bolingbrook Park District

BOLINGBROOK, IL — With the start of fall quickly approaching, the Bolingbrook Park District has already released its line-up of special events this autumn.

A popular event, Fall Fest will return on Sept. 24, from 3 to 6:30 p.m., to the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 200 Lindsey Lane. The fest is free admission and features food vendors, games and live music.

As Halloween approaches, head to the park district's Freaky Fun Friday at BRAC and Volunteer Park. All ages are welcome to enter the haunted house, or watch a free movie. Wear costumes for trick-or-treating.

If you're looking for something active this fall, the Howloween 5K will be hosted on Oct. 22, from 8 to 10 a.m. You can bring your four-legged friend to run the race with you, or you can just run yourself. Costumes are also welcome; dogs must be leashed at all times. It is $40 to register for the race.

Tired of looking for pumpkins in fields? Head to Parkie's floating pumpkin patch at BRAC from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 27. All ages are welcome, it is $9 per resident.
