Hidden Lakes Trout Farm Access Road Closes Nov. 1 As Winter Approaches

BOLINGBROOK, IL — As we near the end of October, the Forest Preserve District of Will County is beginning to prepare for winter.

The preserve will close its boat launches on Nov. 1, and drinking fountains will also be turned off and winterized over the next few weeks, the preserve said.

In Bolingbrook, the access road to Hidden Lakes Trout Farm will close on Nov. 1, or during the first snowfall. The road will reopen in the spring, on April 1.

The preserve will also close the Tackle Box bait shop at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm on Oct. 30.

Elsewhere in Will County, the Monee Reservoir Visitor Center will close on Oct. 30, and the lower parking lot at McKinley Woods - Frederick's Grove in Channahon will close on Nov. 1.

The Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Bolingbrook will remain open during the winter.
