Highest Rating Possible for Bolingbrook HS JROTC Program

The Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of Unit IL-091 at Bolingbrook High School earned the highest rating possible following a unit evaluation that took place last month.

In addition to the overall “Exceeds Standards” rating, five BHS cadets were recognized by USAF Colonel Bobby Woods, Director of Air Force JROTC, for their outstanding performance. They are: Cadet Wing Commander Linnea Volkart, Cadet Inspector General Damaris Palao, Cadet Group Commander George Hanson, Cadet Logistics Officer Vanessa Arenas, and Cadet Public Affairs Officer Leida Sierra.

The evaluation noted that faculty instructors Lieutenant Colonel Dion Scaglione, Senior Master Sergeant Jim McMillen, and Master Sergeant Tim Sinnaeve have created a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with excellent community outreach. The instructors were cited for providing outstanding leadership in administering the cadet-centered citizenship program.
