LoCascio Named Valley View's Director of Data and Assessment
Current VVSD research specialist named to the position Monday night.

Michael LoCascio, a research specialist with Valley View School District 365U for the past three-plus years, has been named Director of Data and Assessment for VVSD.
He succeeds Dr. Kelly Gilbert, who has left the district for another position.
A former classroom teacher at Sandoval Elementary School in Chicago, LoCascio has extensive experience analyzing and interpreting student data having served as District Assessment Liaison, Teacher Administrator, No Child Left Behind Director and Assessment Director in the Chicago Public School System.

He joined Valley View as Assessment Specialist in 2011 and has presided over the in-depth analysis of VVSD student growth and achievement data that is necessary to guarantee positive academic growth in each child in the district.
LoCascio holds a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and a master of arts degree in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University.
