May 15th Bolingbrook Community Event Engages Residents
"On the Table: Memo to the Mayor" will engage residents of Bolingbrook in a 2-hour workshop to develop out of the box ideas for our future.

Bolingbrook resident, Terri Ransom, will be hosting an On the Table event the evening of May 15th from 7-9 pm at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Rodeo Drive.
On the Table is a series of free events which started in Chicago through the Chicago Community Trust, and which serve to inspire community dialogue in and around all of Chicagoland. This year's theme "Memo to the Mayor" will inspire residents of Bolingbrook to come together in dialogue and action, addressing current issues our community faces, opportunities for growth and economic development, and resulting in a "call to action" memo to the Mayor. "This isn't about the Mayor of Bolingbrook," says Ransom "this isn't a political event at all. This is about how we as the residents--the community--can aid our leaders in solving issues which impact us now and in the future. When we take the conversations to the community and recognize the diversity of our residents, we can inspire solutions that are outside the box." Terri decided to host this event on the evening of May 15th, a day later than the traditional hosting of On the Table, because she wanted to offer an opportunity for those working to be able to attend. (The Village of Bolingbrook has their regularly scheduled meeting the evening of May 14th.)
The 2-hour event will kick off with a special presentation by Sue Varno of the Bolingbrook Historic Preservation Commission, and will include leadership from organizations serving the Bolingbrook community. Space is limited, but the organizers will accommodate as many participants as possible.
