Michael Mucha Wins Feature Race on Kid's Night
Bolingbrook's own Michael Mucha wins his first feature race of 2019 after fire destroys his car in 2018

Michael Mucha is a 12-year-old racecar driver competing in the Central States Region Super Cup Series, driving a half-scale NASCAR Super Cup car. He competes against drivers of all ages at tracks in four states, racing almost every weekend from May through September.

Michael Mucha Racing is located in Bolingbrook, and after finishing the 2018 racing season 3rd in the points chase, the family suffered a house fire that displaced them for over seven months and also destroyed the racecar, trailer, tools and spare parts. The Bolingbrook business community, having learned of this loss from Mayor Roger C. Claar at the Bolingbrook State of the Village address, didn't hesitate to step in with generous donations to make racing in 2019 possible for Michael Mucha. A replacement car as well as tools and spare parts were acquired and Michael was able to start the season on schedule. He brought home two 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes in his first four races while getting the new car dialed in and set up. On June 28th, at Grundy County Speedway just 30 minutes from Bolingbrook, Michael was able to not only set the fastest qualifying time and a new personal best lap time, but he also brought home first place in the feature race with numerous fans in the stands for Kid's Night plus NBC Sports on hand filming!

The Michael Mucha Racing team and the entire Mucha family would like to thank all of their friends and fans, as well as partners, sponsors and supporters including but certainly not limited to Vic's Car Wash, Maplebrook Chirporactic, Create Cut Invent, Tri County Investigations, Cheryl's Candy & Popcorn, Bolingbrook STEM Association, Collision Boss, A Private Investigator Inc, Advantage Chevrolet, Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce, Rocket Ice Arena, Boyer-Rosene Bekins, Sebert Landscaping, Northern Builders, Jet Brite, WeatherTech, and The Promenade Bolingbrook.
