New Bolingbrook Aldi Opening On Boughton Road

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grocery store's new location, 734 E. Boughton Road, will take place at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The opening for Bolingbrook's third Aldi location is just around the corner. The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9, the company announced Tuesday.

To celebrate the remodeled store, at 734 E. Boughton Road, shoppers will receive eco-friendly shopping bags.

The new Bolingbrook store is part of the company's national expansion that has Aldi on track to become the third-largest grocery retailer in the United States by the end of 2022, according to a news release.

Currently, Aldi operates more than 2,000 stores in 37 states. In Bolingbrook, the Boughton store will join two other locations, with one on Brookview Lane and another on North Weber Road.

"ALDI is one of America’s fastest-growing retailers because we offer a convenient shopping experience for affordable, on-trend and sustainable goods," Heather Moore, Dwight regional vice president for Aldi, said in a statement. "We have served this community for more than 40 years and look forward to continuing to offer Bolingbrook residents high-quality, fresh foods and low prices in every ALDI aisle, every day."

Expanding its online presence, Aldi representatives said they continue to work on the company's e-commerce, which allows customers to place curbside pickup orders at more than 1,200 locations — 500 of which were added to the curbside list this year.

Aldi on Boughton will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and will close an hour earlier on Sunday. The store will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday to allow shopping for seniors between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.
