New to networking? New Chamber program is here to help
Chamber tweaks, relaunching young professionals group

Networking and building business relationships are learned skills that require practice and honing.
The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young & New Professionals Association (YNPA) offers practical and interactive programming to learn and improve these necessary business skills.
“We previously had a Young Professionals Association,” said chamber Executive Director Kevin O’Keeffe, “but it was geared to the under-40 age group.

“We tweaked the group to be more inclusive,” he said. “We welcome anyone new to networking through a career change or a promotion or as a recent grad.”
YNPA is specifically designed to provide mentoring and development opportunities to those taking their early steps on a career path.

The first event is 5-7 p.m. Nov. 20 at Mago Cantina & Grill at The Promenade Bolingbrook. It includes a guacamole-making lesson, food, two drink tickets and an icebreaker exercise. The cost is $10 for Chamber members; $20 for future Chamber members. Register at 630-226-8420 or email staff@bolingbrookchamber.org.
