Age 35, of Naperville, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at RML Specialty Hospital, Hinsdale, IL, as the result of multiple organ failure. Julie was born in Oak Lawn, IL, was a resident of Bolingbrook most of her life, and a graduate of Bolingbrook High School, Class of 2000. She enjoyed doing hair and makeup, working diligently to make people look their best.

Julie is survived by her parents, Kimberly (Max) Mejia of Plainfield and Glen (Pamela) Kleidon of Plainfield; one sister, Kristina Kleidon of Crest Hill; three step sisters, Tracie Diaz of Joliet, Megan (Mike) Dionne of Morris and Mallory Mejia of Alabama; one step brother, Matt (Kara) Mejia of Shorewood; maternal grandparents, Gloria and Robert Zelenka of Chicago; step grandmother, Dorothy Kleidon of Elgin; nephews, Everett Earley, Daniel Gonzalez, David Diaz, and Maxwell Mejia; one niece, Cameron Mejia; many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

She was preceded by her paternal grandparents, Leonard and June Kleidon and her uncle, Kieth Vogelsang.

As it was Julie’s request, cremation rites have been accorded. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. All friends and relatives are invited to gather from 1:00 p.m. until times of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any animal rescue shelter of your choice would be appreciated.
