Operation Christmas: Bolingbrook Plans 50th Year

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Operation Christmas: Bolingbrook will celebrate 50 years of bringing the holidays to families in need this year.

The organization will hold its eighth annual fundraiser on Nov. 4 at Tailgater's Sports Bar and Grill, 431 W. Boughton Road.

The nonprofit is asking for donations to its gift baskets for the event, which will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 4.

Operation Christmas: Bolingbrook has been serving the area since 1973. The organization is able to give families in need food, and toys and stocking stuffers for children. The nonprofit helps 300 to 400 families every year.
