• Illinois American Water customers can speak out against proposed rate hike at Bolingbrook hearing Wednesday (shawlocal.com) — Bolingbrook residents served by Illinois American Water can weigh in Wednesday on a proposed $129 million rate hike at a 7 p.m. Illinois Commerce Commission hearing at the Bolingbrook Community Center. Advocates say typical customers could see water bills rise about $10 a month and wastewater bills about $23, and they're urging locals to submit comments in person, online, or by phone before regulators rule later this year.
