• Bolingbrook residents oppose Illinois American Water rate hike at ICC hearing (fox32chicago.com) — Bolingbrook residents packed an Illinois Commerce Commission hearing to protest Illinois American Water's proposed rate hike, which village officials say could add up to $500 a year to local household bills. Mayor Mary Alexander Basta urged regulators to reject the increase, with a final decision expected in December and new rates potentially taking effect as soon as January.
   

• Darian DeVries could take a major step toward his first 5-star commit this weekend (hoosierstateofmind.com) — Bolingbrook High School standout guard Brady Pettigrew, a top 2028 national recruit, is taking an official visit to Indiana this weekend as major programs compete for his commitment. The 6'3" combo guard from Bolingbrook averaged over 20 points last season and has additional visits lined up with schools like Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky before making a decision.
