• Ikea replacing1 Chicagoland location with smaller format store (furnituretoday.com) — Ikea plans to close its large Bolingbrook store by late 2027 and replace it with a smaller-format showroom eight miles away in Naperville's Block 59 development. The Bolingbrook location on Boughton Road will stay open until then, while Ikea says it aims to remain accessible to existing Bolingbrook customers and keep its Schaumburg store operating.
   

• Week 8 IHSA football scores and more across the Will and Grundy county area (shawlocal.com) — Bolingbrook High's football team rolled past Plainfield North 46-14 at home, stretching its winning streak to six games and staying atop the Southwest Prairie West. The Raiders, now 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference, will close the regular season on the road at Minooka, while other nearby schools also jockey for playoff position.
