Pet Supplies Plus To Open 2nd Bolingbrook Location

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Another destination for pet supplies is set to open at the beginning of March in Bolingbrook.

Pet Supplies Plus will open at 204 N. Weber Road, just down the street from competitor PetSmart. The store will celebrate its grand opening March 2-3 with various promotions and giveaways.

The new location will mark the company's second in Bolingbrook. The first store, at 270 N. Bolingbrook Drive, opened in 2007.

Considered by the company to be the country's largest and most trusted neighborhood pet retailer, Pet Supplies Plus will feature a full-service grooming salon and self-service pet wash stations. Customers will have the option to do curbside pickup, use carry-out service or order for same-day delivery.

Local entrepreneur George Lennon is operating the new Bolingbrook store. Operating 15 other Pet Supplies Plus stores in the Chicagoland and northwest Indiana areas, Lennon opened his first store in Villa Park in 2007, followed by his first Bolingbrook store later that year.

"It was more than 15 years ago when we called Bolingbrook home for the first time, and this second location allows us to serve an even broader number of our neighbors," he said in a statement. "Bolingbrook is a large and diverse area, and this new location allows us to continue to offer the best solutions and services to another part of the community."

Here's a look at what's in store for Pet Supplies Plus's opening weekend:

• March 2-3: Pet Supplies Plus will offer free pet washes, caricatures, photos, raffles and snacks. Customers will also have the opportunity to win gift cards ranging from $50 to $250 through a raffle. Everyone who enters the drawing will receive a $10 coupon.
• March 2: Mystery scratch cards, between the amounts of $5-$10, will be given to neighbors throughout the day.
• March 3: The first 100 people will receive one free small bag of dog or cat food.
