Police Officer Receives Community Service Award

Patrick Kinsella was recognized by the Association of Pakistani Americans at the 29th annual Taste of Pakistan Saturday.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook police officer Patrick Kinsella was recognized by the Association of Pakistani Americans with a community service award Aug. 28, the village announced Monday.

Kinsella, who has served the community since 2005, was awarded for his "outstanding crime prevention and community outreach efforts" at the 29th annual Taste of Pakistan, hosted at the Bolingbrook Town Center Saturday.

"We are proud to share in his success!" the police department said in a statement.

Saturday's event also included the 29th annual flag hoisting ceremony, for which Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta was among those present.
