Promenade Parking Meter Fundraiser Nets More than $9K for BHS Classrooms
Shopping mall donates two months of parking meter proceeds to the school.

VVSD School Board President Steve Quigley and Superintendent Dr. James Mitchem accept a check for $9,429.35 from Promenade Bolingbrook General Manager Tom Castagnoli and Director of Marketing Kris Kuchler. Valley View School District 365U will be able to purchase important in-classroom technology, including a large Sony 70” TV display enabled with wireless mirror casting functionality, to share digital research projects and classroom work thanks to a donation from the Promenade Bolingbrook.
The $9,429.35 donation came from a pledge by Promenade Bolingbrook officials to give the school district all of the September and October proceeds from The Promenade’s Bolingbrook’s 88 parking meters.

“Families, students and staff members are a central part of The Promenade Bolingbrook culture. Whether they’re shopping at our stores, taking part in a community event we’re hosting, or enjoying a meal, we are thankful for their continual support,” Promenade Marketing Manager Kris Kuchler when the fundraiser was launched. “We are glad we can give back to our local schools in this way.”
