Red Ribbon Bakeshop Coming To Bolingbrook

The bakeshop will be located at 753 E. Boughton Road, which was formerly an LA Tan.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Red Ribbon Bakeshop has applied for a certificate of occupancy in Bolingbrook, Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta shared on her Facebook page.

"While an opening date is not always clear at the beginning of the project, my goal is to be the first to let you know of the development that is happening," she wrote.

The bakeshop will be located at 753 E. Boughton Road, which was formerly an LA Tan.

According to Red Ribbon Bakeshop's website, the company was founded in 1979 and became one of the largest bakeshops in the Philippines. It has over 500 locations worldwide, with 36 locations in the United States.

The stores sell cakes, rolls, sweet pastries, empanadas, as well as some meals like Pancit Palabok, a signature noodle dish, and Arroz Calda, a rice and chicken porridge.
