Romeoville, Bolingbrook Score Victories In Scholastic Bowl Regionals
Both teams turn in strong performances at regionals but do not make sectionals.
Both Valley View School District 365U high school Scholastic Bowl teams turned in victories at their respective IHSA regionals Monday, but neither team qualified for sectionals.
Romeoville High School finished second in its regional ultimately losing to the host team in the Providence Catholic regional 200-120 in the finals.
The RHS Scholastic Bowl roster includes: Samuel Andrews, McDavis Ansere, Rachel Autenrieth, Cole Brooker, Will Caron, Mireya Casas, Robin Czajowski, Josh Gitogo, Emily Jacobo, Alameen Kamera, Kyle Listermann, David Mancol, James Polinski, Francisco Rocha, Isabel Ruiz, Nick Sessoms, and James Zahorick.

Dr. Mike Moro is head coach and Jen Rio is assistant coach.
At the Metea Valley regional, Bolingbrook High School beat St. Charles North 260-160 in the first round before losing to the host school in round two. Metea went on to win the regional and qualify for state.

The BHS roster for regionals included Amira Aquino, Brandon Fagust, Jeremy Karevich, Justin Speer, Michael Korta, Preston Scott, Kaia Ball, Rohit Banjeree, Jared Greenberg, Mary Masek, Rawee Khan and Martin Ashby. Paul Flores, Greg Ciuollo, Prithvi Das, Ashley Wheaton and Melanie Mendoza are also on the team.
Kwynn Olson is the BHS head coach.
