Special Screening For Biondi Documentary Planned In Bolingbrook
The documentary features radio DJ Dick Biondi and his six-decade career.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A special screening for a film featuring renowned disc jockey Dick Biondi will be held at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Sept. 7.
The documentary, "The Voice That Rocked America: The Dick Biondi Story," will be shown at 6 p.m. and pay tribute to the famous radio DJ, who died earlier this year.
According to a news release, Biondi's radio career spanned over six decades, and he was the first disc jockey to play The Beatles on American radio. He introduced The Beatles and the Rolling Stones in concert, and helped many new artists along the road to stardom.

As part of a fundraising effort to get the film to the public, fans have been attending events such as this to view this tribute to Biondi, a release states.
Documentary filmmaker, Pam Pulice, has dedicated the past 9 years to bring this film to life. Funds are needed to cover the final licensing necessary to share Biondi's story with the world, according to a release.
