Students, Parents Invited to Check Out PARCC Assessment at BJ Ward Event
The Partnership for Assessment for Readiness for College and Careers will replace the ISAT.
Students from all grade levels and their parents or guardians will have an opportunity to check out the new Partnership for Assessment for Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessment at B.J. Ward Elementary School’s free Title 1 Night Thursday, Jan. 29.
The evening, which will run from 6 to 8 p.m., will include hot chocolate, coffee, freeze pops, popcorn and musical math entertainment.
Third, fourth and fifth grade families will be able to view and practice the state-mandated PARCC assessment, which is replacing the ISAT assessment.

Students in kindergarten through second grade and their families will have the opportunity to sit down with B.J. Ward Literacy Leaders to review key words and phrases for the PARCC assessment
Raffles will take place throughout the evening.
