The FBI has recently released its 2014 crime statistics, as submitted by law enforcement agencies all over the country.

Within the statistics is the amount of certain crimes reported to local law enforcement.

Bolingbrook, out of a population of 74,049, had 156 violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, 17 rapes, 46 robberies, 93 aggravated assaults, 986 property crimes, 95 burglaries, 854 larcenies, 37 motor vehicle thefts and 10 reported instances of arson.

In 2013, Bolingbrook, out of a population of 74,049, had 156 violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, 17 rapes, 46 robberies, 93 aggravated assaults, 986 property crimes, 95 burglaries, 854 larcenies, 37 motor vehicle thefts and 10 reported instances of arson.

In 2014, out of a population of 42,196, Plainfield had 31 violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, six rapes, nine robberies, 16 aggravated assaults, 322 property crimes, 37 burglaries, 273 larcenies, 12 motor vehicle thefts and eight reported instances of arson.
