Three Memorial Day Ceremonies Planned In Bolingbrook

Ceremonies are planned at Boardman Cemetery, Hillcrest Cemetery and the Town Center Veterans Memorial.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — In honor of those who have served in the Armed Forces, there are three opportunities to gather planned in Bolingbrook for Memorial Day on Monday.

The first will be held at 9 a.m. at Boardman Cemetery, on Paxson Road just north of Royce Road, according to the Village. The Bolingbrook VFW and American Legion will begin a memorial service at 9:30 a.m.

At 10 a.m., a ceremony will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, on Boughton Road next to Fire Station No. 3. Lastly, at 11 a.m., a ceremony will be held at Town Center Veterans Memorial, 375 W. Briarcliff Road.

The Boardman Cemetery will be open to the public for tours on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bolingbrook Historic Preservation Commission will be at the cemetery to answer questions about its history, according to the Village. At least one Civil War veteran is buried at this cemetery.
