Town Center Tunnel Mosaic Project Will Be Installed This Summer
The Board approved additional costs for the Town Center tunnel mosaic project.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — At its Tuesday meeting, the Bolingbrook Village Board approved an amended proposal for the Town Center tunnel mosaic project.
The Board had approved an original proposal for the project for $30,000, but the work has increased, and the budget needs to be adjusted, according to Board documents.
Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said the project was approved back in October 2021.

The amended proposal calls for additional work for the final design and measurements of the wall, at a cost not to exceed $14,722.
The proposal is with Green Star Movement, and mosaic workshops will be held for residents in April. The mosaic will be installed in the summer, according to Board documents.

Trustee Sheldon Watts said the mosaic will bring a new dimension and a new look.
"We believe it will bring a nice look to Village Hall," he said.
"We're very excited with the final design, and are very much looking forward to seeing it...[and also] having residents help with the process," Alexander-Basta said.
