Valley View Board Member Named an American Fellow By State School Board Association

Valley View School District 365U Board of Education member Elizabeth “Liz” Campbell has been named an Illinois Association of School Boards LeaderShop Academy Fellow.

Campbell, who has served on the VVSD School Board for 17 years and is vice chair of the IASB’s Three Rivers Division, earned the honor by completing seven LeaderShop Academy core workshops and five elective programs designed for school board members seeking continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

“This achievement exemplifies the lifelong learning we hope all board members model for their students and community,” said Dean Langon, associate executive director of the IASB. “The Illinois Association of School Boards congratulates Liz Campbell for her commitment to professional development as a school board member.”

Campbell, a longtime Bolingbrook resident, will be recognized at the fall dinner meeting of the Three Rivers Division. As an Academy Fellow, she will also be invited to serve in advisory and/or mentoring positions around effective governance issues.
