Valley View School District Seeking Donations of Personal Items

Valley View School District 365U is seeking donations of personal care items that will be given to Will County families in need during the Nov. 8 “Supporting Our Families in Transition” event at Bolingbrook High School.

The annual event, which is primarily designed to assist local families who have lost housing because of economic hardship, will include educational information; financial counseling; employment counseling; housing assistance; and medical, dental, vision and mental health services. It is sponsored by VVSD, DuCap, DuPage Township and the office of Will County Regional School Superintendent Shawn Walsh.

Personal care items needed include shampoo, razors, deodorant, body soap and laundry detergent.

Items must be dropped off at the VVSD Administration Center, 755 Dalhart Ave., Romeoville, by Thursday, Oct. 30.
