Submitted by Valley View School District:

B.J. Ward elementary school has completed a very successful “Summer Bridge” program designed to help incoming kindergarten students prepare for their new experiences as a Valley View School District 365U student.

Conducted in both English and Spanish, the free three-day event introduced children to many of the aspects of kindergarten including meeting B.J. Ward kindergarten teachers, working with Literacy Leaders (reading teachers), visiting the bookmobile, learning how to line up, and learning about letter and number recognition as well as colors.
