Week Of The Young Child Features Free Events At Bolingbrook Park District

BOLINGBROOK, IL — In celebration of the Week of the Young Child, Bolingbrook Park District will hold several free events from April 17-22.

The events are presented in partnership with UChicago Medicine, AdventHealth Bolingbrook.

The week will begin with a magic show, sponsored by the Fountaindale Public Library, at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 200 Lindsey Lane.

Other events include:

• April 18
  • Furs, feathers and scales (all ages), 10 to 11 a.m. at Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive
  • Ninjas (ages 3-5), 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive
  • Gymnastics (ages 3-5), 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., at Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive
• April 19
  • Creative Movement Dance (ages 3 to 5), 12:15 to 1 p.m., Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 200 Lindsey Lane
  • Little Learners sample class (ages 18 months to 2.5), 5 to 5:45 p.m., Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 200 Lindsey Lane
  • Zumba dance party (all ages), 6 to 6:45 p.m., Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 200 Lindsey Lane.

  • Day One sports (3 and up), 3 to 5 p.m., at Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive
  • Tae Kwon Do (3 and up), 5 to 7 p.m., at Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive
  • Free wall climbs (6 and up), 5 to 7 p.m. at Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive
• April 21
  • Art and science mash-up (3 to 6), 3:15 to 4 p.m., at Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 200 Lindsey Lane
