Will County Board Member Traynere Found Guilty Of Computer Tampering

On Monday, Traynere was found guilty of two out of three counts of computer tampering.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Will County Board Member Jacqueline Traynere has been found guilty of two counts of computer tampering after she accessed the email of fellow Will County Board Member Judy Ogalla in 2024.

Last week, Traynere had asked for a bench trial in front of Will County Judge Derek Ewanic, rather than a jury trial.

On Monday, Traynere was found guilty of two out of three counts of computer tampering.

The charges against Traynere, who is a Democratic board member serving the Bolingbrook area, stemmed from an incident that happened in March 2024, according to court documents.

The documents state that Traynere "acted in excess of the authority granted to her in that she knowingly and without authorization" accessed Judy Ogalla's email without authorization from Ogalla. Ogalla is a Republican Will County Board Member serving the Monee area.

Computer tampering is a Class B misdemeanor.

Sentencing for Traynere will take place at 10 a.m. April 7.

Traynere has served as a Will County Board Member since 2008, and is also running for election this year. She is one of four Democrats running in the March 17 primary.
