Will County Board Republicans Call For Jackie Traynere's Resignation

Earlier this month, Traynere was found guilty of two counts of computer tampering.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Members of the Will County Board's Republican Caucus are calling for the resignation of Democrat Board Member Jacqueline Traynere after she was found guilty of two counts of computer tampering.

Traynere was found guilty of two counts of computer tampering after she accessed the email of fellow Will County Board Member Judy Ogalla, who is a Republican.

“The issue does involve the integrity and fiber of the County Board,” said Republican County Board Member Julie Berkowitz, who represents Naperville. “This trust has been broken.”

Will County Board Republicans discussed the issue during the part of the March 19 Will County Board meeting devoted to comments from members, according to a news release.

“This has caused significant damage to the credibility of our board. I am seriously concerned it will negatively impact our ability to work together if this type of behavior goes unaddressed,” Republican County Board Member Mark Revis, who represents Plainfield, said. “We have major problems.”
