Young Girl Who Survived Fatal I-55 Crash Goes Home
Four-year-old Joslyn, the 'little fighter,' is home from the hospital after surviving crash that killed mother and brother, family says.

A week after being ejected from a car the young Bolingbrook girl who survived a fatal I-55 crash is back at home with her family.
Four-year-old Joslyn was the sole survivor of a two-vehicle crash on April 18 that killed her mother, Yesenia Quintero, 25, and her little brother, Isaac, 2.
The family was traveling southbound on the I-55 frontage road near Bolingbrook when a car veered off the interstate and crashed into their vehicle, Illinois State Police said.

Yesenia and Isaac were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The other unidentified driver was ticketed for improper lane usage, reports said.
Joslyn was rushed to a nearby hospital where she underwent two life-saving surgeries, according to the family’s GoFundMe page.
Supporters started an online fundraising campaign to help the family with medical and legal costs. The campaign has raised $38,973.
Funeral services for the Bolingbrook woman and her son took place on Saturday. In addition to Joslyn, Yesenia and Isaac are survived by Danny Manzanares, husband and father.
According to the latest update on the “In Memory of Yesenia and Isaac” GoFundMe page, the little fighter is back at home after undergoing facial reconstructive surgery.
“Doctors were able to save [Joslyn’s] eyelid and close up all wounds on her little face and body sustained from the accident. In addition to the facial reconstruction she also had 2 metal plates inserted into her right leg that was broken as a result of the accident. She has a long road to recovery but today she is seen smiling, coloring, laughing and having a wonderful time with her friends and family.”
