ā¢ Kankakee River Fishing Derby names Grand Champion, Big Board winners (shawlocal.com) ā Bradley anglers made a strong showing in this yearās Kankakee River Fishing Derby, with Eugene Poynter and Chadd Smith both placing in their categories. The 10-day event drew competitors from across the region and handed out about $10,000 in cash and prizes. Families can already look ahead to future derbies if they want to get involved.

ā¢ Scarlett Blanco, 19: Disappeared In 2021 While Traveling In Illinois (ourblackgirls.com) ā A 19-year-old woman who often spent time in Kankakee, Bradley, Manteno, Momence, and Hopkins Park has been missing since May 2021, and details about her case remain scarce. She was last seen leaving a residence on Schuyler Avenue in Kankakee, reportedly heading toward Momence but never arriving. Anyone in Bradley with information is urged to contact Kankakee police or Crime Stoppers. Ā Ā Ā
