• Person Ejected, 150 Gallons Of Diesel Leak On Neighbor's Yard In Chaotic Will County Crash (patch.com) — A serious overnight crash near Braidwood at Route 113 and West River Road left five people hospitalized and spilled about 150 gallons of diesel into a homeowner’s yard. Braidwood Fire Protection District crews found a car wedged under a box truck and a tanker in a front yard, prompting environmental officials and hazmat contractors to oversee cleanup.

• Will County Among 9 Illinois communities saying they're interested in new nuclear facilities (fwrnews.com) — Will County, home to the Braidwood Nuclear Generating Station, is among nine Illinois communities signaling interest in hosting new nuclear facilities as the state looks to add at least two gigawatts of power. State leaders, utilities, and environmental groups are weighing nuclear’s jobs and tax benefits against high costs, long timelines, and competition from faster-growing renewables.
