• Chicago area attorney files civil lawsuit against federal agent for 2025 incident (cbsnews.com) — A Chicago-area attorney is suing a federal agent over a 2025 confrontation outside a Brookfield gas station, where the agent previously admitted pushing him and received court supervision. The attorney argues the conduct merited felony, not misdemeanor, battery charges and ties the case to his protest activity outside a nearby ICE facility.
