In recognition of April being Sexual Assault Awareness
Month, Rape Victim Advocates (RVA) will give a voice to survivors in this
annual spoken word event featuring local Chicago artists. Headliners performing
in protest of sexual violence include Sage Xaxua, Olive Stefanski and Veronica
Precious Bohanan.
Guests, both survivors and allies, are welcome to
contribute to a communal raising of voices by participating in the open mic
after the featured artists. “Breaking The Silence” is free and open to
the public.
