Building on Damen Marked for Redevelopment, Could be Demolished
Preservationists want the corner building kept.
Chicago, IL - The Wicker Park building at 1530 N. Damen is being marketed for possible redevelopment, Curbed Chicago reports.
Preservationists are concerned about the possibility since the building has not been protected by the 'orange-rated' designation in the Chicago Historic Resources Survey and that developer Interra Realty has been actively shopping the building for redevelopment.
Even if that redevelopment means a demolition and new building all together.
