Free Tattoo Removal for Breast Cancer Survivors
Free Tattoo Removal for Breast Cancer Survivors Offered by Sempurna Restoration Clinic

In honor of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sempurna Restoration Clinic, based in River North, is offering free laser tattoo removal for breast cancer survivors who were given tattoos by their physicians to mark treatment areas.
Among other things, effectively treating breast cancer requires precision. Unfortunately, to get that precision, patients undergoing radiation therapy often allow themselves to have their body tattooed in multiple areas. The tattoos mark exact spots to align subsequent treatments precisely.
“While breast cancer survivors are thankful for the advanced technology and treatment options they receive, moving on can be difficult when living with the tattoos. Although small, they’re visible and constant reminders of the painful treatments they’ve endured,” says Cleighton DePetro, Sempurna’s director and Certified Laser Technician.
Over a series of quick treatments, the clinic’s advanced lasers fade the pigment away.

“Unlike our typical clients, cancer survivors don’t have much of a choice over whether to get the tattoos. It’s a matter of life and death. This is our small way of celebrating their victory over cancer and helping them move on.”
Free tattoo removals will be available beginning September 1, 2014. Consultations can me scheduled by calling 312-255-8051. www.sempurnaclinic.com.
