2 Charged With Attempted Murder After Buffalo Grove Stabbing: Police
A Buffalo Grove resident was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery and is currently recovering.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A resident is currently recovering at an area hospital following a stabbing last week in Buffalo Grove. Two Palatine men — Ryan Bruce and Ryan Neises — are accused of Class 1 attempted murder in the incident, and were arrested Sunday.
According to police, officers were dispatched at around 9:30 p.m. June 28, to an apartment in the 600 block of Trace Drive for a report of a person who had been stabbed. When officers arrived, they located the victim, who was bleeding from lacerations in the arm and a puncture wound on the back. Aid was rendered to the victim by the officers until Buffalo Grove paramedics arrived.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery and is currently recovering.

Buffalo Grove Police were able to identify two suspects who were known to the victim: Bruce, 33, from the 1900 block of Cambridge Court in Palatine, and Neises, 20, from the 1500 block of Norway Lane, Palatine.
Police said a further investigation revealed the victim had a previous altercation with one of the suspects and was spotted by the suspect near a Burger King. The victim was followed home where the stabbing took place. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Bruce and Neises were taken into custody Sunday with assistance from the Palatine Police Department.
Police said that on Monday, Bruce and Neises were taken to Cook County Bond Court, where they received no bonds. A second bond hearing took place on July 6 and both men are still being held without bond.
Their next court date is set for July 29 at the Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows.
