2 Men Forcibly Rob Resident Near Home: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
The victim was exiting his car, which was parked in a space near his home in the 10 block of Canterbury Lane, when the attack occurred.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Hasbelidy C. Ramirez Escobar, 35, of the 4200 block of N. Bloomington Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of two felony counts of retail theft, and was arrested at 10:31 a.m. June 16, at Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway. The thefts occurred on May 27 and June 14. She was released following her arrest and given a court date of June 24.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- A resident in the 400 block of Raphael reported at 9:20 p.m. June 13, her battery had been stolen from her car earlier in the day. She said she saw an unknown man grab the battery and leave in a gray pickup truck.
- A resident in the 10 block of Canterbury Lane called police on June 14 to report that on the previous day at 11:58 a.m., a male in the 30s or 40s, with a heavy set, wearing a red shirt, walked up to his front door to deliver a package. The person's gray Honda Civic was parked across from his home. The man dropped off the package on the doorstep and then walked toward the intersection of Highland Grove Drive and W. Canterbury Lane. At 12:03 p.m., a woman in her 30s, wearing a white shirt and black pants, grabbed the package and then walked toward the previously mentioned vehicle.
ROBBERY
Police responded to the 1200 block of Johnson Drive at 1:06 p.m. June 14, for a robbery report. A citizen told police he had been forcibly robbed while exiting his car, which was parked in a parking space near his home. The victim, who was not seriously injured, said two males, dressed in hoodies, took personal items from him. They had left the scene in a black SUV headed toward Milwaukee Avenue.
RETAIL THEFT
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 11:47 a.m. June 15, for a report of a retail theft. A complainant told police a man had stolen 29 cans of Ghost Energy drinks the previous day.
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 11:25 a.m. June 17, for a report of a retail theft. A male had walked out of the store with green produce bags in his car, but not the white plastic bags items are put into once they are purchased. The value of the groceries is $312.10. He was also carrying a dark-colored bag of some kind over his right shoulder.
